Prevalence and Seasonal Variation:

Healthcare professionals note that dandruff concerns are prevalent, with approximately 80 percent of dermatology patients expressing worries about dandruff. 

The condition tends to be more common during winter, attributed to dry indoor air and changes in scalp moisture levels.

While dandruff affects both men and women, it is slightly more common in men. Doctors also observe that dandruff is less common in children but can still occur, particularly in arid environments with low humidity.
