“The Beekeeper”: Jason Statham’s Action Thriller Coming to Lionsgate Play

Lionsgate Play has revealed that the highly anticipated action thriller “The Beekeeper,” starring Jason Statham, will hit streaming screens on April 26th.

The film follows the journey of Adam Clay (portrayed by Statham), a former member of the clandestine group ‘The Beekeepers.’ After retiring to a quiet life as a beekeeper, Adam is drawn back into the world of danger when his elderly neighbor becomes the target of a malevolent scam.

Statham, renowned for his roles in blockbuster franchises like “Transporter” and “The Expendables,” embodies the character of Clay as a formidable “super soldier” dedicated to protecting society. 

In his own words, Statham describes Clay as a phantom figure, a “ghost” who intervenes when society fails to defend itself.
