Dubai’s toll gate operator, Salik Company, issues a cautionary advisory urging customers to remain vigilant against clone websites, fraudulent emails, and social media scams bearing its name and label. 

With a surge in phishing attempts and fraudulent schemes masquerading as Salik, the company emphasizes relying solely on official channels for information and transactions to safeguard personal and financial details.

Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, underscores the ongoing efforts to raise public awareness regarding the proliferation of fake websites and phishing scams. 

He emphasizes the risks posed by these fraudulent activities and urges customers to refrain from disclosing sensitive information to unauthorized sources.

Official Channels for Transactions:

Al Haddad advises individuals interested in purchasing Salik shares to engage with brokers and official channels, directing them to visit the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) website for reliable information. 

This guidance aims to protect customers from falling victim to fraudulent investment schemes falsely associated with Salik.

Prevalence of Phishing Messages:

Salik notes a significant increase in phishing messages circulating across social media and online platforms, falsely offering investment opportunities in Salik stocks or providing links to recharge Salik accounts. 

To combat these deceptive practices, Salik has implemented various warning measures to safeguard its customers.

Protective Measures:

Salik advises customers to ensure a secure connection by using URLs beginning with “https://” and to exercise caution when clicking suspicious links and pop-up ads. 

By remaining vigilant and verifying the legitimacy of messages claiming to be from Salik, customers can mitigate the risk of falling prey to online scams.
