Air India Cancels Dubai Flights Amid Operational Disruptions

Air India has announced the cancellation of flights to and from Dubai, effective Friday, April 19, due to ongoing operational disruptions at Dubai International Airport. 

Flight Cancellations:

In a current announcement on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Air India informed customers about the cancellation of Dubai flights. The airline is working to re-accommodate affected customers on alternative Dubai flights once operations resume.

Customer Assistance:

Passengers holding valid tickets for travel until Sunday, April 21, 2024, will be eligible for a one-time waiver on rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations.

Airport Congestion:

Travel within, to, and from Dubai has been significantly impacted, with Dubai International Airport advising passengers to avoid unnecessary travel.

DXB emphasized on X that the airport is experiencing congestion and urged passengers to arrive at their terminals only two hours before departure to avoid potential issues.

Operational Outlook:

The chief operating officer of DXB stated on Thursday evening that the airport aims to return to full operational capacity within 24 hours, offering hope for improved travel conditions shortly.
